Dialogue with art
Art doesn’t decorate wine, it describes it. It is a continuous dialogue between creativity and nature, a spontaneous bond that makes every sip a unique visual and sensory experience.
Literary inspiration and female courage
The intrinsic bond between art and wine at Donnafugata stems directly from the pages of classic Sicilian literature. The name of the company itself is a homage to The Leopard and Queen Maria Carolina who, fleeing Naples, took refuge in the hills where we cultivate the land. That historic logo, the face of a woman with windswept hair, speaks of a legend but also of the intuition of Gabriella: a woman that chose the vine as her vocation, becoming one of the most courageous and pioneering figures in Sicilian viticulture.
The colours of the visionary Sicily of Stefano Vitale
Thirty years of art and colour. The understanding between Stefano Vitale and Gabriella has created an unmistakable visual code in which the artist’s brushwork interprets the soul of the wine. Every label is a fragment of a complex image, a story that goes beyond the design to become pure identity.
A company with jazz in its blood
For Donnafugata, wine has its own rhythm. Music & Wine is an experience that engages all the senses. A project that encourages you to enjoy wine in a new way, allowing yourself to be swayed by the notes of the music.
