SPECIAL EDITION MILLE E UNA NOTTE
In 2025 Donnafugata and the Netflix series “The Leopard” came together to pay homage to a timeless story. A partnership that celebrated the essence of Sicily with two similar languages, wine and storytelling, producing a limited edition Mille e una Notte dedicated to the Netflix series, “The Leopard”.
A meeting written in the stars
The Netflix production was inspired by the literary classic written by Tomasi di Lampedusa. On those immortal pages the name Donnafugata referred to the historic estate of the main character: from this shared bond a special partnership was born. In 2025 Donnafugata produced a limited edition Mille e una Notte dedicated to the Netflix series, The Leopard. A wine that celebrated a novel set in the middle of western Sicily, home to our vineyards.
Special Edition Mille e una Notte
Mille e una Notte was first produced in 1995, born from the vision of Giacomo Rallo and his meeting with Giacomo Tachis. A wager on Sicily and its ability to produce deep and stylish red wines that stand the test of time. A visionary idea that has made it an icon of both Donnafugata and Sicilian elegance.
The same Sicilian elegance can also be found in the Netflix series, The Leopard. For this reason, in 2025 we chose the 2021 vintage for a Special Edition dedicated to the series: a project that combines our creative flair with the contemporary language of audiovisual storytelling.
A label to see and be seen
One of the most beloved Donnafugata labels was elevated to mark this special occasion. Elegant baroque decorations embellished the cartouche of the Special Edition Mille e una Notte to recall the unmistakable style of the Netflix series “The Leopard”, the official logo of which appeared on the label in turn.
Feeling at home
The landscapes of Contessa Entellina, in western Sicily, are among the places that inspired the atmosphere of the Netflix series, The Leopard: hills, residences and vineyards of timeless charm. Our estate is located here, immersed in a natural equilibrium of nature and silence. Between Gabriella’s Garden and the winery, our hospitality is both a convivial and a sensory experience.
