Cantine Aperte 2019 appointment in Donnafugata winery is back. We look forward to welcoming you on Sunday 26th May at our historic winery in Marsala. The programme includes a guided tour of the winery and the wonderful barrique cellar, followed by tastings of all of the company’s wines. Activities for children (4 to 12 years) will be available again this year, as well as interactive stations for adults: Discovering Donnafugata wines: Tasting of the winery's entire range, including Fragore, icon wine from Etna and Sul Vulcano Rosato, the novelty presented at Vinitaly. “Discovering the Kolymbethra Garden and oranges of Ribera by Ganduscio” workshop: Giuseppe Lo Pilato, manager of the Garden, leads us to the discovery of the FAI property that encloses a flourishing garden of Mediterranean plants and citrus trees. Tasting of Ribera orange juice presented by producer Cav. Paolo Ganduscio, bread and Kolymbetra citrus marmalade, will be proposed during the workshop. Ticket €2 to be paid on site; limited places. Times: 10.30; 12.00; 14.30; 16.00 “Mediterranean Tuna and Donnafugata wines”: tuna products meet Donnafugata wines: a workshop to learn about the tradition of fishing and processing Mediterranean bluefin tuna. Tasting of 3 wines paired with 3 tuna products. Ticket €10 to be paid on site; limited places. Times: 11.00; 12.30. “The Wines of Etna” workshop: a masterclass to explore the north side of the volcano, where Donnafugata produces its wines. Sul Vulcano Etna Rosato DOC 2018, Sul Vulcano Etna Rosso DOC 2016, and Fragore Etna Rosso DOC 2016, Contrada Montelaguardia, will be tasted. Free workshop. Times: 15.00; 16.30. Bread made from Grani Antichi: tasting of breads made from ancient grains with Molini del Ponte. DOC winemaker: test the winemaker in you! A blind tasting in which you will have to recognize at least 5 wines tasted during the tasting journey. Whoever is able to do this can claim the title of DOC winemaker.
